AJPOR is proud to announce that, as of our August 2022 issue, we are one of the official journals of the Korean Association of Survey Research (KASR), as well as continuing to be the journal of the Asian Network for Public Opinion Research.

KASR and ANPOR have a long history. In fact, KASR sponsored the luncheon for Asian scholars at the 2012 WAPOR Conference in Hong Kong where the idea for the organization that became ANPOR a few months later was first suggested. KASR then co-hosted the first annual ANPOR Conference in 2013 in Seoul, contributing a lot to the success of that event.

Survey Research, the Korean language journal of KASR, has been published since 2000 and is an excellent journal. When KASR began to consider sponsoring an English language, international journal to help enable its members to share their research with a wider audience, their logical conclusion was to partner with ANPOR in publishing AJPOR. Published quarterly since November 2013, AJPOR has already established itself as an important new voice is this area of scholarship and is already indexed in Scopus and KCI.

Some of our readers may be wondering what this new partnership means for AJPOR. Practically speaking, we don’t expect you to notice many changes. John Kennedy will continue to be editor-in-chief, CAPORCI will continue to be the publisher, and all other editors and editorial board members will continue in their current roles. All editorial and review policies will remain the same. We are looking forward to receiving more submissions from KASR members who might not have been aware of AJPOR before now. Perhaps most importantly, this partnership means greater stability for AJPOR, making it possible for us to continue to be a platform for scholars to share their research about public opinion research in Asia for many years to come.
